You would never know this beautiful hotel and THAT garden were behind the heavy wooden door in the Medina.
We received a very warm welcome of lovely Moroccan tea, cakes, and dates.
Our room was the garden suite which was excellent. Opulent, luxurious with private outside terrace and loungers. There was a fruit basket, fresh flowers, refreshments (even Nespresso maker!), cakes and a basket with pool towels, straw hats, and maps which was a lovely touch.
Lunch was absolutely delicious, the best food I have had in Marrakech during our 4-day stay! We had a delicious goat cheese salad for starters, chicken tagine with olives (yum) and selection of mixed platter for main. The dessert was a selection of fresh mint, vanilla, and chocolate ice cream and pineapple, raspberry and mango sorbet. Without a fail, the best dessert I have ever tasted. I still dream about it; it was that good! The food was simply outstanding, many congratulations to the talented chef Sanaa.
Absolutely picture-postcard garden. Tropical. Exciting. Staying here is like living in a bird sanctuary, surrounded by palm, banana and orange trees, birds chirping away and tortoises strolling through the grounds.Breakfast was a selection of continental and traditional delights. Very tasty. Cheeky sparrows were trying to steal food off the breakfast tables!
There is a roof terrace with chairs and loungers to kick back and enjoy ' dolce far niente'.
On the day of our departure, the hotel manager Luc invited all guests for complimentary drinks and canapés complete with traditional music. It was a perfect ending to our stay in Marrakech before we said our goodbyes and headed to the airport.
A big thank you to all the lovely staff who looked after us, you made our last day in Marrakech truly unforgettable. Shukran.
