Afternoon Tea at The Egerton House Hotel

I love a good afternoon tea.

Cucumber sandwiches, cakes, freshly baked scones with clotted cream... that's just my cup of (afternoon) tea.

Egerton Hotel very kindly invited me down to try their take on it.
Beautiful retreat just a stone's throw away from Harrods and Victoria and Albert Museum, a perfect spot for a spot of tea after a busy day of shopping.

Egerton House Hotel is a 5-star award-winning boutique hotel. Beautifully decorated, with a luxurious yet very homely feel to it.
We sat at a table in their elegant Drawing Room,
and naturally, started the tradition off with a glass of Lanson.

JING defines the modern tea ceremony sourcing Asia's finest teas.
We ordered White Peony and Whole Rosebuds tea from Morocco from their extensive tea selection. Utterly delicious, I had two tea pods!

Very true when they say tea brings people together. 'The bond between tea drinkers all around the world, no matter what decade they were born in, what nationality or personal beliefs is huge. We all are the same and speak the same language.'
Finger sandwiches (and so delicious I must add that we asked for a refill), freshly baked scones with Devonshire clotted cream, pastries and all types of cakes from brownies, lemon cakes to macaroons decorated with pretty fresh flowers. Doesn't it look amazing?
Delicious and quintessentially British.

Charming and elegant home-like hotel, with incredibly friendly staff, luxurious decor and relaxed ambiance. Pay them a visit.

The perfect setting for a special occasion or just a long catch up with your best friend/mum/husband.
Each cup of tea represents an imaginary voyage, who would you bring with you?

Thanks to The Egerton House Hotel for this wonderful experience. As always, all photos and opinions are my own. To experience it for yourself, visit their website here.
