There are not many things in life I would wake up at 4:30am.
The hot air balloon ride has been on my bucket list for what feels like forever, so getting up was easy!
The next hour was a whirlwind: a coffee and pastry breakfast, a safety briefing and a car journey 40km out of Prague to the take-off site.
Giant fans filled the balloon with air just as the sun rose.
We continued to rise and fly, up up and away.
Flying in the open air, feeling the wind and sun on my face was absolutely incredible feeling.
I thought the view from a plane was impressive. Ha! Wait until you see the birds-eye view of the ground below from the hot air balloon - fields, rivers, lakes and animals. Being up in the sky is so peaceful, perfect opportunity to take it all in.
After about an hour, we descended over a corn field.
We raised a glass of champagne to toast the flight, a tradition started in 1783 by the Mongolfier brothers who piloted the first hot air balloon flight.
Bubbles for breakfast? Don't mind if I do!

Was it worth it?
Totally. Wonderfully smooth and tranquil flight with the best window 'seat' you will ever have. An unforgettable experience, one I am hoping to repeat in Myanmar and fly over temples in Bagan.
Remember
Fill your life with experiences, not things. Have stories to tell, not stuff to show.
