Riad Adore Marrakech - Haven of Tranquility

My friend and I finally got around to going on our first adventure together.

We took the first flight to Marrakech excited to know that in three hours' time, we will get to explore this fascinating city. Just a short drive from the airport, we arrived at our destination – Riad Adore comfortably snuggled up in the middle of the Medina.

We were welcomed by very friendly Brahim who served us fresh mint tea and cakes, much appreciated by two very tired travelers. He explained the area with important do’s and don'ts which were extremely helpful.

To my surprise, we got upgraded into the Bahia Suite! Opulent, luxuriously furnished and decorated in chic black and cream, the whole ambiance was intimate and warm like as if you were staying with good friends. Kind of place you want to move into.

Dropping bags off, we went to explore our new home.

Newly restored by the celebrated architect Christophe Simeon, Riad Adore offers top-notch service and luxury in the very heart of Marrakech. Simply light, calm and peaceful with great attention to detail.

Right in the front of our suite was a library offering a wide selection of books and DVDs and an ‘Honesty Bar’ filled with local wine, beer, and soft drinks. Handy having it right on our doorstep.

We headed out to explore the Medina, which you’ll learn more about in my next post. Back in the Riad, overwhelmed by the craziness of the Souks, we opted for Hamman and relaxing full body massage. Superb experience, we felt a million dollars (dirhams) afterward.

Relaxed, refreshed and very hungry, we could not wait to experience our first Moroccan dinner served on the roof terrace - magical setting by the fireplace feasting on traditional Moroccan dishes.

I woke up to the sun rays touching my skin and sound of birds chirping away.

We enjoyed breakfast in the sun on the roof terrace and the next day in the courtyard by the pool.
Riad Adore is perfectly located in the middle of Medina; the Souks are just around the corner, a taxi stop 5 minutes away and it’s a short walk to the main Jemaa el Fna square. The passage to the Riad is well lit up at night and guarded so you feel absolutely safe. The staff were incredibly helpful, attentive and made you feel right at home. Couldn't have asked for a better welcome to Marrakech and would highly recommend this peaceful oasis to anyone wishing to escape the busy street of Marrakech for silent night sleep.

Thank you for having me and looking after me with such hospitality Riad Adore. Shukran!

Thanks to Riad Adore for supporting me on my visit to Marrakesh. As always, all photos and opinions are my own. To experience it for yourself, visit their website here
