Kempinski Hotel Corvinus in Budapest

I recently visited the beautiful city of Budapest.

I chose Kempinski Hotel Corvinus because of its name and central location. Staying for two days only, being located within walking distance to the Danube River and all major attractions was important to me.

I have stayed in many Kempinski hotels and have never been disappointed - always so grand, luxurious yet very homely.

I received a very sweet welcome.

My deluxe room was spacious and very comfortable and offered a great view of the neighboring park.

Interesting fact: The site of the hotel was a residential building until a bomb in WWII destroyed it, and the hotel was built in 1992 as Budapest's first luxury hotel.

The ground floor, hotel's gastronomy hub offers several places to wine, dine and relax:

The Living Room. A stylish place to sit back, relax and enjoy a glass of local wine, or afternoon tea to go with one of their freshly baked cakes. Very delicious I shall add!

Nobu Restaurant. The world-famous Nobuyuki Matsuhisa's Japanese restaurant with locations in London, New York, Hong Kong, and Dubai to name a few. The head chef Gábor Schreiner adds Hungarian touch to the menu served alongside its world-famous signature dishes like tuna sashimi salad with Matsuhisa dressing and black cod in miso.

They also have Nobu Lounge Bar, Blue Fox The Bar and És Deli, so you really are spoilt with choice.

És Bisztró. A really cool farmhouse-like bistro offering contemporary and traditional Hungarian and Viennese dishes. 

It's open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and has a great summer terrace that stretches out onto a buzzing shopping street. I love how they grow vegetables and herbs all around the terrace.

And once you have refueled, just one step outside and you find yourself right in the middle of Fashion Street to walk off all that cherry cake.

I really cannot recommend highly enough.

Whether your priority is luxury, comfort, central location or an outstanding culinary experience, Kempinski Hotel Corvinus offers all.
