Homely Casa la Concha, Marbella

Last week, I jetted off to Southern Spain to watch my dear friend get married.

Longing for a bit of peace and tranquility, I chose to stay at Casa la Concha situated in the foothills of the iconic La Concha mountain.
It's approximately 5km from Marbella town, right next to the luxurious Sierra Blanca (check out my post for incredible views of Spain, Gibraltar and Morocco here) with easy access to Marbella, Istán Lake, Granada or Rhonda to name a few.

Casa la Concha is a large house with six renovated cottages offering 'home away from home' stay, which in my eyes they achieved successfully. The house is extremely spacious and airy, decorated in french, shabby-chic style.
The biggest surprise was the tropical garden offering endless places to sit back, relax and take in the luscious greenery around you.
Surrounded by palm trees, sun kissing my skin and hair blowing in the wind, I soon dozed off.
At the end of the garden is a yoga/massage 'hut', little work out and seating area to enjoy a cup of coffee, uninterrupted.
There is nothing more I love when in Spain then perfectly chilled cup of Gazpacho soup, originating from this region of Spain, Andalucia. Made of raw vegetables - tomato, cucumber, peppers, garlic, onion, olive oil, vinegar, lemon and served chilled, it is a healthy and delicious soup full of beautiful flavours. Pure love in a cup.
My room was big enough, with all amenities one might need. Bottle of Cava on my arrival was a lovely gesture from the owner, much appreciated by me.
The only downside was the non-existent internet connection in my room or garden, which I found very inconvenient and in bloggers world, a simple no-no.

Breakfast was served in the courtyard of the house, and despite the selection being quite basic (bread, croissants, eggs, fruits, cereals), it was delicious and fresh. Offered until 1pm, ideal for those wanting a long lie-in.
It genuinely felt like staying at a friend's house. Really lovely and helpful owner and staff, thank you all for a wonderful stay.

Charming house situated in the most beautiful area, the place for a bit of peace and quiet.

Thank you Casa la Concha for supporting me on my visit to Spain. As always, all photos and opinions are my own. To experience Casa La Concha for yourself, check them out www.casalaconcha.com or telephone: +34 646 520 883.
