Last weekend, my friend and I decided to visit the Alexander McQueen's Savage Beauty exhibition. The tickets were long sold out but decided to take the risk and just turn up and hope for the best.
Victoria and Albert museum is the world's largest
museum of decorative arts and design, providing roof over 4.5 million exquisite sculptures, ceramics, Asian arts, furniture, textiles, jewellery, fashion collections and much more. Admission is free except for the exhibition.

Absolutely over the moon with tickets safely in our hands, off we went to see the work of one of the most celebrated and innovative fashion designers of all times. Alexander McQueen.
I took few pictures before I was politely told no photography was allowed. Whoops!
You’ve got to know the rules to break them.
That’s what I’m here for, to demolish the rules but to keep the tradition.’
People find my things sometimes aggressive. But I don’t see it as
aggressive.
I see it as romantic, dealing with a dark side of
personality.’
'Plato’s Atlantis predicted a future in which the ice cap would melt, the
waters would rise
and life on earth would have to evolve in order to
live beneath the sea once more or perish.
Humanity would go back to the
place from whence it came.’
'It was about trying to trap something that wasn’t conventionally beautiful
to show that beauty comes from within.’
It was emotional, dramatic and so incredibly beautiful. You were a genius Mr. McQueen!
On our way out, we spotted a restaurant with the most beautiful chandeliers.

But, this is not where we brunched. We headed to The Delaunay.
According to an article in 'Hunter's Weekly' in 1895, brunch is
"cheerful, sociable and inciting. It is talk-compelling. It puts
you in a good temper, it makes you satisfied with yourself and your
fellow beings, it sweeps away the worries and cobwebs of the
week."
Very true.
The most delicious omellete, smoked salmon bagel, fresh juice, coffee on tap and a cheeky dessert, naturally. Seriously mouth-watering.
This place definitely takes the cake! Whatever the occasion, The Delaunay won't disappoint.
