Unwinding at Castell Son Claret

After two busy days exploring Palma, we headed to Es Capdella, Calvia to switch off and completely relax.

Surrounded by 132-acres of beautiful nature and La Sierra de Tramontana mountains, declared a World Heritage Site, Castell Son Claret was the perfect choice of peace and luxury.
Driving up the palm-lined driveway, it was evident we were in for a real treat.
Luxury hideaway far away from touristy resorts and crowded beaches.

Greeted by charming staff handing us fresh lemonade with lavender.
Our room was simple and elegant and the bed was THE most comfortable bed ever. One you just sink into and never want to part with.
Twenty rooms are located in the main building, eighteen rooms and suites in the former stables wrapped around stunning flora, fountains and charming courtyards, a photographer's dream.
With offers like this, you don't hesitate.
Grabbing hats and sunnies, we headed to the pool.

The hotel is surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens perfect for a little stroll, or finding a hidden place to read a book or just daydream.

Gardens full of almond, olive, lemon, orange, jasmine and bergamot trees with the hint of lavender and roses adding to a gorgeous scent drifting all around the grounds.

We sat outside to enjoy a glass of bubbly and soak up all the last sunshine of the day.
For dinner, we moved inside to the Olivera Restaurant that offers a variety of Spanish-Mediterranean dishes. I must have enjoyed it way too much as there is no further photo evidence.
The food was outstanding and service flawless, with very friendly and professional staff.

After supper, we ventured out just as the sun was setting over the valley.
The next morning, instead of a huge 5-star buffet, breakfast was more selective and classy with a great menu of hot dishes.
Fresh watermelon juice.
Caviar anyone?
Absolutely loved these baked eggs with chorizo and freshly made bread.
Breakfast fit for a queen if you ask me.

For all foodie lovers, Fernando Perez Arellano prepares extraordinary culinary creations at their 2 Michelin star Restaurant Zaranda.

After a couple of hours of indulging in their spa and a full body massage, I felt completely relaxed and rejuvenated.

The ideal way to end our stay. Thank you everyone at Castell Son Claret for looking after us so well.

It is apparent how much effort and love went into creating this magical place of peace and beauty. I cannot wait to visit again. Excellent service from arrival to the departure, perfect in every way.

If you are looking for a hidden luxury in Mallorca, you cannot go wrong with Castell Son Claret, classed as one of the leading hotels in the world.

Kind of place you'll remember for the rest of your life.

Thanks to Castell Son Claret for supporting me on my visit to Mallorca. As always, all photos and opinions are my own. To experience it for yourself, visit their website here.
