Kefalonia Grand Hotel, Argostoli

Last stop of my Greek adventure was Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia.

I stayed in Kefalonia Grand Hotel, a small luxury hotel in picturesque location overlooking the port of Argostoli.
Minimalistic and stylish with touch of Boho, full of interior design goals and inspirations.

The ground floor is a vibrant open plan area oozing with relaxed, unfussed atmosphere with reception, boutique and cafĂ©/restaurant, where you can enjoy a smoothie during the day and delicious meal and cocktail in the evening.
My spacious and airy room was located on the 3rd, quieter floor.

with a wonderful balcony offering a beautiful view of the harbour.
You can pre-order the mattress softness you like prior to your arrival!

Sadly, there is no swimming pool, only the Master Suite has its private jacuzzi. Not a problem when there are so many incredible beaches around, right?

Breakfast is a buffet or cooked to order affair. Enjoy it outside watching the boats going to the bay right in front of you.
Once you finish the most important meal of the day, head straight to the seafront to see the local celebrities - wild Loggerhead turtles who feed from the fishermen who discard any fish they can’t sell in the morning.
De Bosset Bridge is the largest stone bridge on seawater and has been there since 1813 connecting Argostoli with the rest of the island. Wonderful walk across the bay to appreciate the panoramic view of the town. Koutavos lagoon has become a breeding site for the Loggerhead turtles and it's the best place to see them swimming beside the bridge.
The cobbled streets behind the hotel will lead you to Platia Valianou, the main square full of cafes, restaurants, and shops. Here, you will find Saint Spyridon church and the famous Bell Tower. Right above the square is one of the town's popular sights, the beautiful Botanical Garden.
Definitely go on a glass-bottom boat trip to appreciate the crystal clear waters in Kefalonia and visit the neighboring islands of Ithaca, Lefkada, Lixouri or Zakynthos to name a few!

Or leave it with Kefalonia Grand Hotel, they offer several experiences from the boat, sailing to private wine tours, or you can go wild taking on Mount Ainos tour where you’ll see the famous wild horses on the tallest mountain of the island. Contact the hotel for more information, who would be more than happy to arrange it for you.

A small, but lovely hotel in an ideal location with extremely friendly and attentive staff.

Thank you Kefalonia Grand Hotel for supporting me on my visit to Argostoli, Kefalonia. As always, all photos and opinions are my own. To experience Kefalonia Grand for yourself, check them out here.
